Chef Giovanni Zocca was born in Trapani, Sicily within sight of the sea. In fact, as a young boy he helped the fishermen mend their nets. Later he became a fisherman himself. Perhaps that is the reason his seafood dishes are so spectacular. The other reason is that young Giovanni learned to cook from one of the masters of Sicilian cooking – his mother. And that’s the finest Italian culinary education available.
